- The Balmain Bitch -

My brother Jangles and I come from beautiful Balmain. We would like to let you take a look at where we live, at the parks where we play and introduce you to some of our friends.

We now have a community of volunteers in the Balmain/Leichhardt area who help people care for their pets - especially older people. Sometimes they drive people and their pets to the vet, or they take them for walks or maybe, look after the pets if the owner has to go into hospital. The group is called BowMeow. You can volunteer or register to get some assistance by going to the website at http://www.bowmeow.com.au

Local entertainer, Maureen Elkner, has generously donated her talent for a fun night of funraising for BowMeow on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Finolas at the Balmain Bowling Club. Tickets will be very limited and available soon. Go to the BowMeow website for all the latest info.
